Lisle, IL – Lisle Park District needs your help to create the vision for a potential new indoor recreation space! Residents are invited to participate in this process to understand what indoor recreation activities, programs, and classes matter most to you and your family.

Please take 5 to 10 minutes to complete the community input survey available online at bit.ly/lisleparksfeasibilitystudy. Your feedback is a key component to develop the Lisle Park District's Indoor Recreation Space Feasibility Study, which will guide the District in meeting the identified needs of the community and assist the Board of Park Commissioners and staff in planning the direction of the District's current and future indoor recreation spaces. The feasibility study will seek to understand the indoor recreation space needs of residents and use the information to develop a plan with an objective approach based on good data, sound analysis, and valid assumptions.

In January of this year, PROS Consulting, Inc. was awarded the work to perform a Feasibility Study based on community feedback from the 2023 Strategic Master Plan, which included a desire for indoor courts for activities like basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and an indoor walking track. A kick-off meeting was held on February 18 with the Board of Park Commissioners and park district staff where PROs Consulting explained the feasibility study process and began collecting information from staff. In April, focus groups were held with residents and key community stakeholders. A thorough analysis of the market is underway to determine the market of potential users, rates, capacity needed, amenities required to support users, and refine site requirements to enhance the user experience and make the facility succeed financially for the Lisle Park District.

The consulting team has developed a social pinpoint website to guide this project at bit.ly/lisleparksfeasibilitystudy, which provides frequent updates, hosts the community input survey, and allows people to share feedback at any time during the planning process.

If you would like to participate in the process or have questions, please contact Dan Garvy, Director of Parks & Recreation, by email at dgarvy@lisleparkdistrict.org or call 630-353-4310.
