The Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation supports the mission of the Lisle Park District and recognizes the need within the community to provide assistance for the families who otherwise could not afford to participate in Recreation programs.
This Financial Assistance program is funded by the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation. Each year, the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation sets aside a $12,000 scholarship fund for families who exhibit a financial need for assistance in order to enroll in recreational programming through the Lisle Park District.
HHS Poverty GuidelinesThe Financial Assistance program is available to Lisle Park District residents only. All park district programs are eligible for the program.
Income eligibility for Lisle Park District’s waiver of program fees is based on the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Poverty Guidelines.
An applicant must supply the Lisle Park District with documentation of any forms of income he or she is currently receiving – i.e. recent pay stub, AFDC case #, a copy of a recent IRS 1040 form, etc.
Each eligible individual may apply the fee waiver to register for any park district program with a limit of $750 per year for up to a family of four, with additional funding of $190 per year for each additional child.
A waiver of program fees may be issued for 6 months, but the applicant must reapply at the end of the time frame granted in order to continue participation in the program.
This program is funded by the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation. Funding is subject to availability of funds.

The poverty guidelines may be formally referenced as "the poverty guidelines updated periodically in the Federal Register by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under the authority of 42 U.S.C. 9902(2)."

The Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation's purpose is to raise money through corporate and private contributions and in-kind donations. These funds are used for enriching the quality of life in the greater Lisle community by offering scholarships for families who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs, contributing to the beautification of parks and protection of natural resources, supporting and enhancing community programs and promoting recreational opportunities. Funding for projects such as these is not usually appropriated from tax dollars.
