DANCE PROGRAMS

The Lisle Park District Dance Program is designed to improve grace and flexibility while exposing participants to the beauty and benefits of dance. Dancing is a life skill that also teaches children good posture, grace, rhythm, and coordination.

The Dance program is a cumulative program that runs Fall through Spring. Dancers will learn techniques and skills throughout the year, and during the second session (Winter-Spring), each class will learn a dance that will be performed in the Spring Recital. A dancer will stay with the same class for both sessions (Fall & Winter-Spring) unless the teacher approves a switch. Dancers who were registered in our Fall session will get priority registration for the Winter-Spring session. If there is space, new students can be added to session 2.

Location: Lisle Community Center Dance Studio | 1825 Short Street, Lisle
Walk in the main door and walk around the desk area on the right. The Dance Studio is the first door on your left in the hallway.

Attire: We recommend comfortable clothing or dance wear. Ballet and tap classes will need ballet and tap shoes. Jazz classes will need jazz or ballet shoes. Lyrical and modern dance classes will need ballet shoes. Please bring a water bottle and bag for your belongings.

Costumes: All participants must attend a costume fitting. Costumes for the spring recital will be $60 per costume. Students must have a costume to participate in the recital.
