Lisle Park District Open Gym Basketball
Lisle Park District provides supervised gym time for kids
at the Lisle Junior High gym. This is a great opportunity for participants in
the LPD youth basketball program to get some extra practice time on their own.
Parents must sign consent waivers before each open gym session. Children who are
dropped off without a signed waiver will not be allowed to participate.
Register on site at Lisle Junior High,
not at the Recreation Center.

Basketball League
This competitive program is designed for players who wish
to acquire the skills necessary to play High School Basketball. It will feature
experienced coaches and increased player commitment – including team practice 1
or 2 times a week, with home and away games and tournaments. Games include
travel to some out of town locations. The focus of the program is to prepare
young athletes for high school competition through increased training and a
longer season (Late October - Early March).
Open Tryouts will be held on September 11 and 18 at Lisle
Senior High. Specific times for tryouts will be available on September 6th and
you do not need to pre-register for tryouts just show up. Players will be
selected by the coaches on the basis of talent, sportsmanship, and attitude.
Because the league is competitive rather than recreational, placement on a team
does not ensure participation in every game. Coaches will attempt to see that
all players receive court time; however, there may be games that some
participants will not play. Based on interest, there should be one team in each
league.

Participation fee will be paid once player is on the team. Participation fee
includes a home/away uniform, equipment, tournament fees, and individual game

Boys & Girls Junior Basketball League
This league is structured to develop skills and interest in the sport through
organized practices and games. Games are played on Saturday’s beginning in
January, with practices scheduled once a week in the evenings starting in
December. All participants will receive an award. Please note: no team requests
will be taken.
Junior Basketball Registration Dates & Policies:
Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and will
continue until we have reached the maximum number of participants in each
division. Due to the popularity of this program and the limited facility sites,
it is recommended that you register as soon as possible.

Registration accepted after October 1st will be charged an additional
$10 late fee. Phone registration will not be accepted. Any child who registers
after October 22nd will be placed on a wait list with no guarantee of placement.
