we love volunteers

The Lisle Park District relies on volunteers to provide many of its services. Volunteers are an important asset to the community because they improve the quality of our programs and services while keeping overall costs down. Volunteer opportunities abound at the Lisle Park District.

Volunteers have been a part of the Lisle Park District since its inception; the creation of the Lisle Park District was the result of citizens who cared about their community and gave their time and energy to ensure our natural resources were protected. The Lisle Park District is always looking for volunteers to help further that mission by providing assistance with numerous programs and activities that will enrich the quality of life for the health and well-being of our community.

Becoming a Lisle Park District volunteer has its benefits! You can get outdoors, make new friends, enhance work and life experiences, and most of all…have FUN doing it!

Look below to see where your FUN might begin:

  • Adopt a Park: Show some love and care to your favorite neighborhood park or open space. Pull weeds, spread mulch, pick up litter and take care of your local park.

  • Trash & Litter pick-up: Help keep our parks and trails clean.

  • Invasive Species Removal: Help us keep our parks free of invasive plants.

  • Photography: Take photos of our parks, trails, sports fields and recreation programs. Photos are always needed for use in our program brochure, websites and in promotional materials.

  • Event Support: There are always a variety of special events that would benefit from volunteer support. Some of those events would include:
