Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
The Illinois Department of Insurance has trained volunteers to provide on-site assistance at the Senior Center to aid you in filing Medicare claims and answer questions regarding Medicare insurance coverage for seniors. Call Dupage County Senior Services at 630-407-6500 for more information.

Luncheon Program
Home delivered meals are available to Lisle and Woodridge seniors who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. For additional information, call Home Delivered Meals at 630-620-0804. Seniors interested in going to a dining center for their meals should contact the Lincoln Center in Downers Grove at 630-963-1300 or Westmont at 630-963-0308.

55 Alive-Defensive Driving
Refine your existing skills and develop safe defensive driving techniques in these 2-four hour sessions sponsored by A.A.R.P. A reduction in auto insurance premiums is often available after successful completion of this course. Pre-registration is required. Check the Prime Times calendar insert for dates.

Rules of the Road
The Secretary of State offers this FREE refresher course to help senior citizens pass the driver’s license examination. Current rules of the road and preparation for the written and road sign tests will be given to assist you in passing your drivers test. Check the Prime Times calendar insert for dates. Lisle Township Subsidized Taxi Program
Call Lois at the Township Office at 968-2087 (ext. 248) for information on Dial-A-Ride. Rides are provided anywhere within DuPage County.

Energy Assistance
This assistance program commonly known as "Circuit Breaker" is intended to kick in when taxes "overload" an elderly or disabled individual's income. Call the caseworker, Linda, at the Lisle Township office, 968-2087, to set up an appointment.

Legal Aid
Eligible applicants may receive free legal aid from:

1.  Prairie State Legal Services – Available at Senior Center the first Wednesday of every other month. Check calendar insert for dates, then call Prairie State at 630-690-2130 for an appointment.

2.  DuPage Bar Legal Aid – Call 630-653-6212 between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. weekdays.

Community Park Fitness Discounts
Community Park Fitness is a full-service fitness facility located in the Community Center at 1825 Short Street. Membership discounts are available to senior citizens. For more information, call 964-3410.

ABITIBI Paper Retriever
We need your help! We have partnered with Abitibi Paper Retriever and set up community collection bins. By collecting paper, the Lisle Park District will be able to raise the money needed to purchase recycling bins and develop a district-wide recycling and environmental awareness initiative.
Bring Us Your Paper! Please join the initiative and bring your newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, office and school papers and mail to the Community Center, 1825 Short Street, Lisle, IL 60532.
