We're excited to be opening for the 2021 Season on June 5!

Ready to join us this summer for some fun at the pool? While this summer at Sea Lion will certainly look and feel different, we are thrilled to once again provide a fun and safe aquatics experience for our community. Since last year, staff has been working hard to plan how to safely open Sea Lion Aquatic Park for the upcoming summer, while closely adhering to state and local COVID-19 guidelines.

It is a tremendous responsibility to welcome you and your loved ones back to our aquatic park, one of which we take quite seriously. In order to provide the safest experience possible for all guests, there will be some deviation from our traditional services and available amenities this season. These changes include reduced attractions, limited concessions, and a shorter season with adjusted hours. Due to these adjustments and the permitted patron capacity limits, season memberships for the 2021 season will not be sold. However, we will instead offer daily admissions and punch cards that will be used to reserve your time slot during each of your visits. More information about these changes can be found below.

As we have learned over the past 11 months, plans are constantly changing based on the climate of the COVID-19 pandemic. As restrictions are lifted, we will adapt our plan as much as possible. The reality is that this will be a summer at Sea Lion Aquatic Park like we have never seen before. The staff appreciates your patience and understanding while we adjust operations to keep our community safe and active!

They will have access to the splash playground for the second half of their reservation. The participants registered for Section 2 will start with access to the splash playground, and then will have access to the sand area. The Park District reserves the right to revoke the ability to pre-register to any patrons not following the 2021 Sea Lion Aquatic Park COVID-19 Mitigation Strategy and Safety guidelines.

Patrons do not have to wear a mask when they are in the water or when they are in their socially distanced group area on the pool deck.

Will patrons be screened prior to being given access into the facility?

Yes. The Illinois Department of Public Health recommends that all patrons be screened before entering the pool facility. During your check-in, staff will ask each patron about COVID-19 related symptoms/exposures and take a “non-contact” temperature. Any patron answering “yes” to a question, or registering a temperature higher than 100.4 will be denied entrance and will not receive a refund. This information will NOT be recorded, there will only be a record of an entrance or denied entrance for each guest. Click here for the full list of screening questions.

How do I enter the facility on the day of my visit?

Each section will be assigned a designated entrance/exit. Please do NOT arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your time slot. Sea Lion Aquatic Park staff will meet you there and have a list of all guests who have registered for each pool time slot. You will check in with the pool staff and receive a wrist band for each patron in your group. This wristband will verify which pool you have permitted to use and that you belong in the facility at that time. Once your group is in the facility, you will proceed to the deck area around the pool that you have chosen. While on the deck, guests are expected to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance from all other groups within your designated pool area and throughout your visit.

Will the deck furniture be available for use?

Yes. Deck chairs will be arranged in socially-distant groups. Please do not move the deck chairs. The chairs will be cleaned and disinfected between each open swim time.

Will I be able to bring in my own food and drink?

Guests are not able to bring in outside food or drink (except for water). Outside food brings the risk of food allergies and increases the amount of unwanted guests like raccoons and skunks in our park.

Will there be a place to change and use the bathroom?

Yes. The locker rooms will be available for showering, changing and using the bathroom. While using the locker room, patrons are expected to wear a face covering and keep social distance at all times. To reduce the amount of guests using indoor spaces at the same time, we recommend that you come to the facility showered and already in your swim wear. If at all possible, it is also recommended that guests change and shower at home at the conclusion of your swim time. Sea Lion Aquatic Park staff will be sanitizing the facility at least every 2-hours, with a heightened emphasis on high touch point areas such as door handles, shower buttons, etc.

How do I leave the facility at the end of my open swim session?

All guests will be guided out through a designated exit. We do ask that all patrons safely, but quickly exit the facility by the end time of their reservation in order for the next swim session to begin on time. The Lisle Park District reserves the right to amend these rules and polices as needed.
