Sea Lion Aquatic Park Eases Off The Breaks
Lisle Park District announced that Sea Lion Aquatic Park will eliminate the
5:30-6:30pm closing on Saturdays and Sundays during the 2009 summer aquatic
season. Jenny Porrevecchio, aquatic & fitness supervisor, says, “This is just
one of the several changes the Lisle Park District is implementing to add value
to the Sea Lion Aquatic Park membership and make the facility more convenient
for our customers.”
Porrevecchio says that the Lisle Park District has also lifted the limit on the
number of discount punch cards a season pass holder can purchase. Discount punch
cards allow pass holders to bring guests into the pool at a heavily discounted
rate. Season pass holders would pay just $3.50 per guest instead of the regular
$7 admission fee. There is no nonresident charge for guests who enter the water
park with a season pass holder. In previous years, pass holders were limited to
the purchase of two punch cards per season.
The park district has also changed its swim lesson fee structure so that
resident and nonresident pass holders can register for swim lessons at a reduced
rate. For those who prefer to pay daily admission, there’s another positive
change coming. 2009 Sea Lion Aquatic Park evening admission will begin at
4:30p.m. instead of 6:30p.m. “This gives families the opportunity to visit the
park later in the day for a lower rate,” says Porrevecchio.
The Lisle Park District will be offering Early Bird discount sales for Sea Lion
Aquatic Park beginning on April 6, 2009. Passes must be purchased at the
Community Center, 1825 Short St. Regular season pass rates will begin on May 5.
Sea Lion Aquatic Park is a nationally recognized and award winning water park.
It is located in Lisle Park District’s Community Park. 1825 Short Street.
