Park Perfect for Weddings
Affordable, unique and beautiful, Lisle’s Community Park is the ideal location
for your wedding. Lisle Park District’s North and South Shelters offer gorgeous
waterside views in an elegantly manicured setting. The VanKampen Island Stage
and Community Band Shell are also available upon request.
“Community Park is a very, very affordable place to have your wedding and
reception,” says Mike Gianatasio, recreation supervisor. Shelter rental is only
$85 for Lisle Park District residents and $165 for nonresidents. Special
permitting fees and extra equipment are the responsibility of the renter.
Lisle Park District can easily accommodate large and small parties. Each shelter
has electricity available and the North and South Shelters feature attached
restroom facilities.
The versatility of the park provides the perfect backdrop for breathtaking
wedding photos. From late April through May, the park features fragrant apple
blossoms surrounding Community Park pond and the picturesque stone bridge. From
late June through September, the native wildflowers in the natural prairielands
are in full bloom and there are several exceptionally romantic waterside areas
that boast striking rock formations.
Shelters are available to rent on Saturdays and Sundays between Memorial Day and
Labor Day weekend unless previously scheduled for park district or community
functions. The week of July Fourth will not be available due to the Eyes to the
Skies festival. Throughout the rest of the year, shelters are available at no
cost on a first come, first served basis.
