Coronavirus COVID-19 Update

EDGE will follow the same guidelines as Lisle School District 202. We plan to operate when in-person learning is offered on-site at school.

Need help during the school year with remote learning?

Check out our newly created Remote Enrichment Center (REC)! This full-day program provides a safe, supervised, and supportive environment for guided e-learning, allocating time for assigned schoolwork based upon the educational goals of your school district. Your child will take structured breaks throughout each day for meals, indoor/outdoor recreation, and a variety of enrichment activities.

EDGE – Extended Day, Great Experiences!

Previously called the Before & After School Program

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

The EDGE Program offers affordable before and after school care for Lisle Park District residents who attend Lisle District 202 schools. The EDGE program operates in correlation with the school district’s academic calendar.

The EDGE program takes place at the Lisle Recreation Center when in-person learning is offered. Daily activities include arts and crafts, homework time, snack, and recreation activities.

Lisle District 202 provides bus service between the elementary school and the Lisle Park District Recreation Center.

For the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, students may only attend the EDGE program on days that they attend in person school. EDGE will run in accordance with the modified school schedules. We will adjust our program to fit the needs of the students’ schedules from Lisle Elementary.

NOTE: Schedule and fees are subject to change. All programs are contingent on meeting the registration minimums.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

We ask that families commit to the same schedule each week at the time of registration. You can choose to attend anywhere between one and five days each week. At the time of registration, you will choose how many and which days. For example, you can choose three days/week and select Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for the semester. Children may only attend the days that they are registered for and refunds will not be given for missed days.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Enrolled participant schedule changes will be accepted, based on availability, for a $10.00 schedule change service fee. If you are reducing the number of days needed, the credit for the unused days will apply to the next month. Schedule changes must be made at least one week in advance. To change your schedule, call or email Jill Jehs at jjehs@lisleparkdistrict.org or at 630-353-4345.

PAYMENTS

The first monthly payment is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Payments for the remaining months will be automatically charged on the 1st of that month. A valid credit card must remain on file to process these payments. Delinquent accounts may results in dismissal from the program. If you need to discuss other payment arrangements, please email Jill Jehs at jjehs@lisleparkdistrict.org.

DAILY FEES

Days off school such as holiday breaks, institute days and federal holidays are not charged in the monthly tuition. There are no flat rates or annual fees, just the daily fee. Your fee will not change if the days off of school affect your daily rate. For example, if you are registered for 5 days/week but there are two days off of school in one week, you will still get the 5 day/week daily rate.

WITHDRAWING FROM THE PROGRAM

You can start the withdrawal process by emailing Jill Jehs, Youth and Early Childhood Manager at jjehs@lisleparkdistrict.org. Future payments will be stopped for the program, but no refunds will be issued. Withdrawal requests must be made before the next automatic payment being processed..

Questions?
We know this school year is going to look different. If you have any questions, please reach out to Youth and Early Childhood Manager, Jill Jehs at jjehs@lisleparkdistrict.org or at 630-353-4345.

ADA Accommodation or Assistance for Programming

The Lisle Park District welcomes and supports the participation of individuals with special needs in all programs, activities, and services. If any person wishing to participate in a Lisle Park District program has special needs that must be accommodated to enable participation, that person (or parent/guardian) must notify the Park District. The Lisle Park District will do what is reasonably possible to satisfy those needs.

Steps To Secure ADA Accommodations or Assistance:
  • 1. It is recommended to register for program(s) at least 2 weeks prior to program start date.
  • 2. Submit a request for ADA Accommodation or Assistance in any program. This request is required at time of registration. Please fill out the assistance or accommodations section on our program registration form.
Request includes, but is not limited to: Inclusion Aides, Sign Language Interpreters, Adaptive Equipment and Accessible Transportation.
  • 3. Parent/Guardian will be contacted within 48 hours of registration to discuss and determine level of support needed. We will do our very best, but we can’t guarantee an aide will be secured prior to the program start date.
  • 4. If we are able to secure an aide, SEASPAR (South East Association for Special Parks And Recreation) or the AIDE will contact you. For more information about SEASPAR, visit seaspar.org.
  • 5. For more information, or if you have not heard anything a day prior to the program start date, please contact Jon Pratscher, Superintendent of Recreation at 630-353-4305 or jpratscher@lisleparkdistrict.org
